Yes, it's very diverse. As it should be. But it's less diverse now than it was 8 months ago because the Regime has been steadily purging women and people of color from the top ranks, not to mention trans people, and today they made it clear they will continue to do so.

From their point of view, the military's job is no longer to protect the country from foreign adversaries (a.k.a., Trump's buddies.) It is to protect the Regime from the American people.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

September 23, 2025 In New York City this morning, the United Nations opened its General Assembly, marking the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations itself.

As I said, I have given up (for the most part) trying to amplify independent voices here. But last night's post by Heather Cox Richardson is worth a look (always!), particularly since she spends seven paragraphs talking about the U.N. and its leader before ever getting to Trump.
