I personally think the current system causes more confusion than it's worth when there are other effective methods of reporting harassment (which doesn't seem too common here to begin with). Maybe if someone reports abuse on a quote, the quoted post could be hidden until it's been reviewed by mods?

At the risk of repeating you, it really just trades sides with who can abuse it, so while the quoter can't abuse it to hate brigade, the "quotee" can now abuse it to remove context and essentially kill conversations.

fair enough, i just repinned skyfeed discover it does look like its better at filtering out the noise, i think i unpinned it cus it wasnt working for a while and i just assumed it was dead

but yeah not having "auto-personalized" feeds where posts are curated by the post content rather than who you follow, while refreshing, can be annoying to deal with (as you can see by this long ass rant)

ps yes i realize im just whining about whining, US politics are just really that tiring

and in case it needs to be said yeah i dont like trump and anything hes doing, especially with the tariff shit and annexation threats (im canadian). the deportation & general project 2025 shit is awful too though (orange man bad etc etc)

it really feels like this app has become more or less just a place for people to rant about trump without dealing with maga-heads, which is fine and understandable, but also runs the obvious risk of echo chamber mentality of everyone agreeing with you, and that anyone who doesnt is stupid

and i know that twitter technically also has this problem but with right-wing politics but it can be less obvious bc their algorithm - for better or worse - can learn to not show you it if you dont engage w it
really this is more of a limitation of the more privacy-friendly but more basic bsky feeds

and im not even american, like I know some shit is important to spread awareness of for americans but a lot of people are just whining, like focus on shit you can actually do anything about, something productive

I've isolated Suno's fingerprints vs. the music they're training on, and it's 100% repeatable.

Prepping/training with a classifier for AI music detection over the weekend and will test accuracy over the holidays.

If this works then DSPs will have way to reliably detect AI generated music. 🙃
