It's refdocs-cli, a tool to provide your agentic coding tools with super token-efficient documentation search using local markdown files you pull down. So far it seems to use far less tokens than MCP.
Totally offline, very fast and light weight.

I use it a lot just to keep up with the huge amount of work, but there's no joy in it. I'm not even close to retirement, but it's as if there's no place in this world for people like me anymore.

Outside, in the pouring rain, a human empties a wheelie bin into a refuse vehicle while another sweeps the street with a glum expression on her face. A third human is cycling down the road with a Just Eat food delivery on his back, while a fourth walks along the pavement, arms filled with packages from Amazon.

LIZ: They're peas with AI! [Liz holds up to us a packet of peas labelled: Pea-i AI - Peas with AI]. JANET: What LIZ: Shut up LIZ: Our game-changing Pea-Al gives you the freedom to unlock the potential of the power of the future of your peas workflow From opening the bag of peas to boiling the peas to eating the peas To spending millions on adding Al to the peas and then having to work out what that even means. JANET: Is it really necessary to- LIZ [Grabbing Janet by the collar]: THE PEAS HAVE GOT AI, JANET [Cut to an advert ending screen, with the bag of peas and the slogan: AI PEAS: Just 'Peas' for god's sake buy the AI peas. 10.01.2026 12:05 β π 20471 π 7481 π¬ 144 π 283Yep except I don't feel it makes me 10x more productive. It may be the case if it was actually competent, but having to hand-hold it at every step kills that advantage. It's just a tool that can help when I get stuck. I just can't use this shit as the main driver - it kills the joy of coding for me.
07.01.2026 08:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've seen this passed around a bunch and skimmed it and nodded in agreement (because obviously the new mac OS interface design is bad), but I didn't actually sit down and read the whole thing until just now.

I love you, Ian, but I disagree. AI has sucked the joy out of coding. That's why I avoid it until I'm stuck. Even then, I usually refactor a lot of the slop it gives me. I won't even mention PRs coming my way with 100s of lines of AI spaghetti that's impossible to review by a human.

I was really inspired by Hono & wanted a similar experience in PHP. But, I didn't really like the existing options so I made my own.
The idea is there's 4 primitives:
- Container
- Router
- Middleware
- Events
& the rest is composition

Sam Altman: hey I made a machine that stole literally all your stuff in order to make CSAM of your child actors, sometimes it encourages people to kill themselves
Disney: Holy shit here's a billion dollars
Altman: the machine loses more than that each week but thank you. Soon it will become god.
It's not a bug, it's a feature. If you read the manual it says it's to aerate the vapors.
