It's going to take a little while longer! Like any research project every stone you turn over leads to more questions. There are many myths about stainless and every bit of the story is important, but the order of events and the emphasis on certain people and places has morphed over time.

I'm currently several years into writing a book about the history of stainless steel which will tell the closest to reality story of stainless possible, dispelling as many myths as we can along the way. Including the two you have posted here.

I'm going to out myself as a reviewer on this as it is a great piece of work and the authors, while anonymous to me and me to them during the process, were open to all the comments made and made the changes they felt best for their research. And it's nice to see districts work go into new locations
