Love all the people jumping to tell me I need a different doctor when I was in the f***ing ED. My regular doctor is great, but she generally can’t see me within the hour, nor does she have any options for imaging in her office.

I don’t know to what extent this is an autistic thing, and how much is just me, but I find it interesting.

My mom said she’s never seen me limp. Ever. I thought I did it sometimes if the bottom of my foot hurt, but apparently not even then. It’s just too hard for me to adjust how I walk. It takes conscious effort to coordinate it. So I’d rather endure the pain of putting weight on the bad leg longer.

I voted in Dallas County today. The texas.gov site wouldn't tell me where to go, so I went to where I voted in the '24 presidential election. They said I was at the wrong place, and gave me the address I needed to go to. That place then informed me I had to go somewhere else.

But just once, I'd love for a device to remember that I've clicked on "remember this device for 90 days" (in the realm of bypassing 2-factor authentication). Like...why bother if you're not gonna remember?

I was thinking the same thing. One hundred beers in a month is only like 3 beers a day. Does that even count? And a million dollars would pay for a pretty nice rehab if I couldn’t just jump back on the wagon myself.

My mom commented that I wasn’t limping, at that may be one reason the ER was so dismissing of my leg pain, so I’ve been thinking about that. I’ve realized I really don’t limp ever unless the problem is with the bottom of my foot. I think that’s interesting.

The doctor didn’t even spend enough time with me to let me explain that I’m autistic, and how that impacts my ability to describe and express pain. And he based his dx almost entirely on my verbal description, so that’s kind of scary.

Waiting for the hospital to send me that patient satisfaction survey they always do. I have some things to say about this new system of providing patient care entirely in the waiting room. And not offering so much as a Tylenol until discharge when I came in in excruciating pain.

If anyone was wondering, yes, I’m going to complain about my hip all night. A lot. I like complaining. And I’m good at it.
