That is an excellent loaf. Perfect formation.

It's cool how as soon as you leave Twitter you don't really hear about Elon Musk very much. Like here on Bluesky you still have to hear about a lot of bad people and bad things don't get me wrong but it's cool to not hear that one awful man's every single moist thought

You’re not supposed to eat Elmer’s glue.

How are you doing that???

Also, I don’t like killing stuff, even in games. It’s not a moral thing, it just upsets me for stuff to go away like that. I keep stuffed animals together so they don’t get lonely. Sometimes I even randomly anthropomorphize a vegetable and can’t eat it.

I like an easy experience too, but for me it’s the opposite. My reflexes aren’t very good, and my processing is slow. I need time to think without dying. In action games of any kind, I just die all the time. I like just being given a bunch of tasks with unlimited time to do them.

Based on your pfp, you’ll probably be fine. I mean that in all seriousness. This is (at this point) primarily an ethnic cleansing rather than a political purge. Unless you have a noticeable accent that doesn’t sound North American (I can’t tell that from your photo), I think you’re ok to visit.

In fact, the overwhelming majority of Tesla owners probably wouldn’t be getting drafted anyway. Those that are of draft age (probably already a minority) will mostly be able to afford to enroll in full time education or otherwise buy their way out. Teslas are expensive.

Tech bros: I must reinvent currency to protect my self from government.

Also tech bros: the government should be allowed to turn off my car if I'm a bad boy.

Also, like, does he think a draft means no one is allowed to enter Canada from the US anymore? Cause, um, that’s not a thing. People would continue to have all sorts of legitimate reasons to enter Canada that have nothing to do with the draft.

Incredibly depressing.

As an IR professor, it's depressing that this is outperforming all others as the best theory of US foreign policy

Unless you’re being held prisoner by mind control aliens whose abilities are blocked by hate. Then it might be a good strategy. I, um, just watched that episode of Star Trek. That’s a highly specific situation, though.

I feel like renting out a ballroom for a zoom party would be kinda awkward. However, you’ve reminded me that I actually strongly dislike parties, so there’s that. But having a zoom party with all my Bluesky peeps sitting in silence not looking at each other might be fun πŸ˜‚

Omfg. Even if they’ve never talked to older relatives, listened to older music, or, like, existed in the world… have they not even seen Lilo and Stitch?

People sound different in older TV and movies. The inflection is different. I wonder how much of this reflects changing acting styles and what they’re going for, and how much is actual linguistic shift.

Watching Star Trek TOS, cause I realized I haven’t actually seen all of it. It’s off to a good start (I’m only on the first episode), but omg, the painted backdrops. I am not used to 1960s special effects πŸ˜‚

Yeah, it is time to move on. It’s time for ICE to move on from terrorizing neighborhoods. It’s time for Republicans to move on from f***ing everything up. It’s time for Trump to move on from being president. There’s really quite a lot of moving on that needs to happen.

Idk, I feel like it would still be pretty bad for the people whose jobs actually can’t be done remotely. They’re mostly working class, though. Clearly not as important as the office workers. Who needs groceries when you’ve got insurance, am I right?

Have you ever had wild strawberries? They’re better than any store-bought or homegrown ones I’ve ever had.

I’m more tired today than I was yesterday, despite having gone to bed and woken up at the same times. So I got an hour more sleep last night than the night before, and thus should be less tired today than yesterday.

At the dog park, a man had two Labs, an adult and a puppy. When he wanted to leave, he sent the big one to get the little one and bring him back.

That’s the first time I’ve ever seen a Labrador retriever actually retrieve a Labrador.

boy in retrospect, really shouldn’t have elected the worst person in the entire country president. that, it appears, was less than wise

He always thinks he’ll be calling the shots. The fact that other people exist, have free will, and don’t do what he tells them to baffles him every time.

Trump called out the NFL when players kneeled during the National Anthem, protesting police brutality toward blacks, but Trump can wear a baseball cap during the arrival of fallen soldiers? Trump was hawking his $55 merch

we don't use cars a lot in the US just because it's huge and sparse out here

we use cars because auto manufacturers spent a lot of money ensuring that it was the main way to get around; a hundred years ago there were interurbans in eastern Kansas, and it was FAR more sparesely populated than today
