I was denied declined from hospice today. Less than a week after a senate committee voted to move forward with an assisted suicide bill in my state. It’s hard horrifying that people are advocating that I should be allowed to kill myself but also making quality care nearly impossible to access. 😢

As someone who has experienced tremendous grief and is now actively dying at age 33, death sucks and death is normal beautiful part of life is a dichotomy I sit with daily.
At my funeral, I hope there will be peels of laughter. I also hope someone says it sucks that I’m gone.

Finally catching up on @dimension20.bsky.social Gladlands. I thought this was supposed to be lighthearted season, so I wasn’t prepared to be sobbing like. But dang it, @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social has once again found the perfect words to pierce my heart.

Really struggling with the fact that all hospice literature is written for elderly people. It sucks but young people die too and being terminally ill in your 30s is already isolating enough.

Good morning from Julian Patatas

I was mostly joking. Our rail service in the US is just so unimaginably awful and as someone who can’t drive or fly it is extremely frustrating. I spent 4 weeks in England in 2024, 2 of them in hospital and it’s been pretty hard to be patriotic since coming home. Current events aren’t helping.

It must be so lovely living in a country where it’s faster to take the train than to drive. Please come colonize us again.

I miss it so much

I forgot to lock my walker before laying down for a nap and my cat pushed it to the other side of the room. Now he’s just laying here next to me all sweet and purring like he did nothing wrong.

Does everyone’s cat wake them up at 2 am because they want to play in the sink and go for a walk outside or is that just my boy’s special brand of weirdness?
I consented to turning the faucet on for him. But a 2am pleasure stroll is where I draw the line.

I’m relatively new to this world, joined while cloudward ho was in progress. So this will be my first my campaign watched in real time. I’m so very excited.
