I found a miniature hand chair model and printed it out for my daughter’s Barbie dream house. It spurred nearly two solid hours of play with no asking for iPad or TV or complaining about being bored. 🥰

Today’s was how Dodgey Donut and Putrid Pizza met, highfived, then joined the Grossery Gang as friends.

(The Grossery Gang is a very real toyline and my daughter’s interests are very much a result of being raised by my husband and I. 😂😂)

My kindergartner now has “bonus exercises” that come in packets, and if they turn it in the next week they pick goodies out of a treasure box.

This is more reason than ever to absolutely resist consumerism and fast fashion culture. Stop buying stuff you don’t need. Stop feeding this unsustainable system built on corporate greed. Your dollars do much more good for your community when you shop local.

I think it says a lot that folks are more pleasantly surprised that are companies like Apple and Costco doubling-down on DEI initiatives than being disappointed when companies like Target scrap them.

It’s more surprisingly for a company to care about equitable treatment of its employees than not.
