As someone who went through the #albertateachersstrike in 2002 as a grade 6 student, and currently have friends and family who are teachers, I strongly stand behind the teachers who deserve smaller class sizes, support in the classrooms for the students who have complex needs, and better pay!

I was literally in tears moments later (and knew I was safe in my truck) because of what I had just gone through.
My awareness of my surroundings has now increased since then; I’m scared to visit my mom in a little over a week due to what had occurred the last time I was there.

Had a scary moment as I was walking out of the hospital the other day after visiting mom: one of the long term care residents stopped me and asked if I had a knife!
Thankfully I didn’t and immediately walked away, otherwise things would’ve been much worse if I actually did have it on hand.

Yes, I am the only Canadian in this pic- my colleagues are Filipino!

I can already tell that tomorrow is going to be a great day! Starting my day off of work getting things done in Innisfail, then later on hanging out with some friends and discussing a place that’s mentioned in Harry Potter… I’m excited!!!

Fun fact: one of my friends has a Filipino connection thanks to their last name!
Bonus: I work with three Filipinos at work!!!

A few days ago I went to my cardiologist appointment and here’s the recap:

doc seen something abnormal in the echo… CT scan booked for April 30 with follow up either in person or via phone call.

Am I nervous to find out what the results are: yes, but I’m taking things one day at a time.

Off to Calgary bright and early tomorrow morning as it’s time to go and see my cardiologist!
I’ve got my fingers crossed for a good day regardless!
