By this point she's muttering and confused and too late I realize that if I'd been more clever about it I could have gotten kicked out of Honors English which was just Bible Study anyway (the book we were reading and being tested on? The Old Testament!)

When I was a senior in high school I saw a stack of huge thick worksheet packets on the English teacher's shelf and took one, thinking it was an upcoming assignment. It said "TEST" in big huge letters on the top and I said "nah, this can't be the test."

Tried to do the packet later and it was HARD>
