I also think you don't understand what 'cultural appropriation' is. Calling all stranded colourwork fair isle is wrong and dismissive of other cultures techniques and styles.

The show is not in the US though, and they consulted experts in fair isle then pulled this on them. At the very least it's rude as fuck and they're allowed to be pissed.

And it's really frustrating when you've seen this shit before and know it ends with a heap of people new to it taking on ambitious projects with the wrong information.

And to be fair, it's online craft groups who will be swamped by these frustrated disappointed people who are being set up to fail.

I think their frustration was new people being introduced to knitting not getting all the info they deserve. Particularly when the producers consulted experts about this technique and then they were really rude and dismissive about it on screen.
