I think I'm really annoyed because of this style of marking - we're supposed to create a thing with our own ideas and concepts, but then they're marking it down for not being what they personally would do.

So make the assessment that then? Have us tailor it to them & their style. Don't set us up.

I got feedback on an assessment and it feels like the marker completely misunderstood my approach, or were maybe just looking to nitpick. The grade I got was fine, whatever. But now I'm in a shitty mood and trying to decide how to clarify what I need to change for the next assessment.
