My silver helms were ultimately victorious, before going on to kill his mortar. Whilst my archers killed his infantry and outriders allowing me to win the day, but not before a mortar shell killed my mage! (who once again did very little in this game) #oldworld

Round 2 (also 500 points) was against Renegades Crowns on a close encounter map. This resulted in a quick but fierce engagement! My opponent went first, with his knights charging my spearmen. Thankfully my spears held firm allowing me to flank charge him in turn with my silver helms

In my first official game of the tournament this week my elves soundly defeated the foul Beastmen Brayherds. My silver helms this time excelled themselves. That said I was lucky that my opponent only managed to cast Viletide once, and that my spears held out long enough for my SH for a rear charge

Last week I had a practice game playing against Chaos Dwarfs. My first ever game of Warhammer the Old World. My poor elves were massacred Last Samurai style, but it was still great fun!

Nice looking minis and Spearhead seems like a great concept. I've only played one game of AoS so far, which I do not enjoy especially tbh. This year I'm planning on playing a lot of ToW with my old 4-5th edition High Elf army minis. Have lots of painting to do still

There is certainly further research that should be carried out on this topic

I'm glad that you have found it useful Vincent. Thank you for your feedback and your suggestion regarding the origin of the demi-lance. It is an interesting issue. Whether they derive from hobelars, or other types of light cavalry, or alternatively from men-at-arms.

I had no idea just how much concussion affects your life when you suffer a blow to the head. Unless it happens to you, it is easy to be ignorant about it. I'm happy that I am starting to feel more like my normal self again after some time recovering though. I've been lucky all things considered
