Case 1: Boulet est assis sur un canapé, une tasse de thé à la main, chez des amis (nous appellerons son interlocuteur "Alexis"). Derrière lui, une baie vitrée donne sur une terrasse. Alexis (off): "Et comment ça se passe pour toi en ce moment ?" Boulet: "Bah comme tout le monde. Je sors pas, je vois personne, je bosse tout le temps et je me fais chier." Case 2: Boulet sursaute en renversant son thé parce qu'un chat à l'air surexcité vient de percuter la vitre derrière lui dans un grand "BLAM !". Le chat a projeté une petite souris dans les airs.

Case 3: Contrechamp, on voit l'intérieur de l'appartement depuis la terrasse. En premier plan, il y a une souris qui a l'air de souffrir, avec le chat qui la regarde avec des yeux démoniaques. Boulet a l'air terrifié mais sourit quand même. Alexis lui explique, un peu blasé: Alexis: "Ha, c'est rien, c'est le chat qui a chopé une souris sur la terrasse. Ignore-le, il va jouer des heures avec avant de la tuer." Boulet: "Des... Des heures ?" Case 4: Retour à l'intérieur. On voit boulet visiblement traumatisé qui transpire, les mains crispées sur son thé. Derrière on voit le chat déchaîner ses coups de pattes en criant "Hyakuretsuharite!" (reférence à Street Fighter 2, c'est la technique des "mille mains" du sumo S.E.Honda) Boulet (la voix tremblante): "Haha c'est les chats, ça, c'est dans leur nature" Alexis (off): "Oui... J'aimerais qu'il fasse ça à la campagne, on a plein de souris et il s'en fout."

Case 5: même plan, Boulet toujours au supplice. Derrière lui le chat de dos semble toujours se déchainer sur la souris. On voit une succession de mouvements de manette de jeu dessinés avec la mention "FATALITY!" au-dessus de lui. Boulet (la voix tremblante): "Haha pauvre souris. Et puis on est à Paris, si on se met à plaindre les nuisibles, on n'a pas fini !* Case 6: 30 Minutes plus tard, Boulet marche dans la rue, visiblement toujours secoué. Dans une bulle de pensée, on voit une petite souris toute mignonne lui dire: "Tu avais juste à ouvrir la porte pour me sauver !" *La case contient une faute d'inattention, il est écrit "me" au lieu de "met". Je l'ai vu mais j'ai la flemme de corriger.

Case 7. 5 Jours plus tard. Boulet est chez lui, les yeux encore écarquillés, il mange son repas, la petite souris toujours au-dessus de sa tête dans une bulle de pensée. La Souris: "Pourquoi Boulet ? Tu es du côté des chats, maintenant, c'est ça ?" Case 8: Décembre 2060. Boulet et Natalie sont très vieux, assis sur un canapé. Ils portent des lunettes futuristes, Natalie dessine sur une tablette. La bulle avec la souris est toujours là. La petite souris: "Une vie de remords... Est-ce que ça en valait la peine ?" Boulet (à Natalie): "Je crois que j'ai le trauma un peu facile."

Cows - In France, we love cows. A lot of expressions have cows in them. Being tough on someone is "être vache" : being cow (Image of a cow telling Boulet "your coat stinks") - Also, a mean person can be "une peau de vache" : a cow's skin (image of Boulet wearing a cow's outfit and saying "screw you"). It would come from the fact that cows can suddenly kick you when you are behind them. "Un coup de/en vache" : a cow's hit, is when you betray or trick someone. (image of a cow kicking Boulet out of the frame) you can also say "une vacherie": a "cowerie" But more important: "la vache" is also a general exclamation you can use in almost any circumstance. (Image: Boulet is using "la vache" admiratively while looking at a painting, angrily while seing the price of a shirt, moved while recieving a present, painfully while waking up with hangover). VACHEMENT is a slang adverb that means "a lot", "extremely". It means "cowly" (Image of a very cool cow wearing a "cowly cool" shirt) In a totally different style, France also has a lovely way of saying it's raining a lot: IL PLEUT COMME VACHE QUI PISSE, which could be translated by: "IT'S RAINING LIKE PISSING COW" (Image of Boulet under the rain, saying "La vache". The clouds are shaped like utters and make "Moo" sounds)

In the old slang, the french equivalent of "ACAB" was "MORT AUX VACHES": death to the cows. An anarchist rally cry, the cows being all forms of law enforcement (image of a cow in an anti-riot armor, being targeted by stones. The demonstrators scream "Boo" and the cow says "No : Moo!". It was an insult from the 1870 war: when the german were occupying Alsace, they had guard houses saying "Wache", meaning "sentinel". (image of a cow with a german helmet. Someone is saying "vache" and it answers "no, wache." In 1871, the police headquarters were moved to the center of Paris where the chicken market used to be. The cops became "Les poulets" : the chickens (Image of a chicken and a cow in uniform) There are dozens of other cow-related expressions in french, but I'll finish with two we sometime use in my region of origin (burgondy) When a place is really dark, you can say IL FAIT NOIR COMME DANS LE CUL D'UNE VACHE. Literally: it's black like inside a cow's ass. (image of a voice coming from a cow's ass, saying "Oh no, where am I?") and when someone has very wrinkly clothes, like "stayed up all night", I heard the expression "TU AS L'AIR DE SORTIR DE LA BOUCHE D'UNE VACHE" (You look like you came out from a cow's mouth). (Boulet coming out of a cow's mouth saying "ah shit, I'm late) Oh and if you stop by a market you can find "La Vache qui rit" (the laughing cow) It's a cheese that is so pasterized it could almost be american. This creepy french cow is famous all over the world!
