I think a big driver of our change was that packed lunches meant you could sneak in a KitKat so the amount of time they could've saved by just buying a multipack

Some of us stick to our principles and also don't buy from them in stations or airports

In hindsight I cannot believe that my parents (teachers who also ran a school boarding house) agreed to me and my sisters demanding packed lunches rather than (correctly) answering "are you insane? What's given you the impression that we have all this spare time lying around?"

I agree with this, not least because the timing of the GM mayor and general elections mean that Burnham had a perfect opportunity to stand as an MP in 2024 and has another after his term ends in 2028. Blocking him then would be factional overreach but blocking him right now was much more reasonable

Surveys that find British young adults have high levels of Christian belief & practice have two things in common:
1. They survey opt-in panels that accept volunteers.
2. They don't make the underlying survey datasets publicly available for researchers to analyze.

Basically whenever you see a news story based on survey results of 18-24 year olds, especially if it's a subset of a large poll of all age groups, just assume it's nonsense

Strongly agree. The prequels also don't break the universe in the way that the sequels do. "The Republic descended into fascism" is coherent environment that you can tell other stories in. "The rebels win then another empire appears out of nowhere" makes it basically impossible
