i’m also actually going through The Whalstoe Letters intermittently instead of leaving them for the end, which is i think a better way of doing it

there’s a strange feeling reading it and looking up some of the bars mentioned, and finding out they’re closed. it’s not quite loss, ive never lived in Hollywood nor have i visited it. maybe it’s related to seeing local businesses shutter their windows little by little.
