People look at me weird when I say the Deck has changed my relationship with gaming.

I'm no longer glued to a couch or desk to play the kinds of games I want to play. It let's me be on the go, or even just cozy.

Damn that's a shame.

I loved the original and can't wait to play 2 since its on my 12 games in 12 months list

That is the plan. Gonna load it up on my Steam Deck tonight and see how it goes.

Really great to see. I'm looking forward to 3 after trying the second one a few years back.

I just remember in the older games seeing people spend a full 30 seconds buffing to do the level of damage you're outputting.

If its only three then that's not as big a deal, but keeping track of the buffs while not dying is a skill I'm not super good at sadly.

Oh I'm sure. Tbh I'm not looking to do all three at once, just earning the achievements. No item box and no healing at once was just to make it so I didn't need to play the game another time.

Being able to grind enough to be that good is a super power I don't have lol...

Deep down I know it's more about knowing the game so well you know what every enemy is gonna do in every situation and just avoid combat all together except boss fights.

I know some of the tricks, like how to bait Mr. X's Haymarket punch, but I am far from an expert.

I'll also be fine, but I'm gonna whine about it.

Valkyrie Profile. Every mini story you get for the Einherjar you recruit is depressing as shit. Some at least are heroic, but not many from what I recall.

Not sure how folks do Frugalist and Minimalist on higher difficulty and with Low Carbon Footprint too! Assisted was tough enough for me.

I admire the effort that went into designing the piano sim in Rebirth. It's very cool, but impossible for me to actually get anything right on it.

True, but Arbiter levels in general felt like a step back from the insane set pieces and action of Cairo Station, New Mombasa, and Delta Halo. They felt more... deliberate?

To me *nothing* will ever compare to the rush of Metropolis, especially the beginning.

Same. I end up spending a not insignificant amount of time proofreading, both for things that autocorrect "fixed" and for things that I fat fingered because the keyboard has everything super close together.
