Penso molt en la crisi d'habitatge que tenim a sobre, molta gent dient que s'ha de construir molt (i de fet, construir alguna cosa es construeix).

Una cosa es que las medidas de precaución ante eventos meteo sean lógicas y necesarias. Porque además responden a criterio técnico. Pero otra cosa es la reflexión política de que, si esto va a ser tan frecuente, hay que organizar mejor la respuesta que el "quien pueda a casa y tonto el último".

I feel I've read too many times "the same paper" in the last months

This is not only an individual factor but also the academia bulldozer system of 2026

It is very easy to feel one's work is innovative if one hasn't read the literature.

I wonder whether this system is useful for someone, and not a huge loss of resources both for applicants and reviewers.

Our scientific careers are now based on overselling in order to survive in a highly competitive environment.

And another huge problem here is that I can see how scientific publications are also following that oversimplification trend, when we should focus even more on uncertainty.

But the simplification goes in the direction of overselling. Headlines are misleading for virality and no-one reads the articles now (due to paywalls or/now tiktokized lazy brains), where there may be some nuance.

I'm quite concerned about the science (mis)communication trend. An achievement that sounds like: 'we have advanced towards curing cancer' is 'translated' as 'scientists discover cure for cancer'. Sometimes this simplification is sold as clarification for the general public.

Muchas veces las desigualdades no son 'micro-' porque sean pequeñas. Son imperceptibles para nosotros porque somos miopes a ellas o porque las tenemos normalizadas.

Like we should not extrapolate the case study of food system in UK in 2009 to justify our theory on that grand idea.

I think it would be nice if we all included in the title of papers the specific case study we analyse. It is quite frustrating to read a paper that has a title that reads like "The theory of this big important idea" and then it explores a case study of food system in UK in 2009.

Ara mateix hi ha dos temes que són: (1) la pesta porcina i les restriccions a gran part de Collserola i altres àrees naturals de l'àrea metropolitana i (2) el caos infernal a Rodalies de Catalunya, que fa una mica impossible que els urbanites sense cotxe anem a la natura.

Hace bastante que no miro estudios de potencial de PV pero me da, leyendo rápido los métodos, que si amplia el potencial es porque tiene datos poco detallados y usa suposiciones de brocha gorda. Pero bueno eso sólo hace más que reforzar el argumento de tu hilo.
