Works in progress for the last conceptual works of an 8 week project regarding black holes! Whew. I only have one more skeleton to lay down tonight.

The last one may not seem to make sense - just bear with it till I finish it and complete a full presentation.

I finished this assignment tonight, I only had an hour to make it happen!

This is done with mechanical pencil on the back of a piece of a gridded paper pad. The assignments topic was “dreamscape”. I tend to have more nightmares, so I chose something more positive from my brain.

The third is the first of a rough draft for a self portrait project I will be rebuilding in Illustrator as well!

The kitty and asterisk was originally a sloppy sketch. I had to scan it and then I had re-drawn a cleaner version of it in Adobe photoshop, also drawn with a Wacom tablet.

Haven't done one of these since I was a kid. They're fun.

Her eyes stayed shut for so long, her lashes tangled together. A dynamic view profile of a woman painted in a digital medium & format. Very dark tones, monochrome with a touch of a dark rusty red in some places. The style is very angular, sketchy looking, but also presents an abundance of interesting curves and shapes. Supremely exaggerated length of eyelashes toward the outer corner of the upper and lower eyelid, for added drama. The background is very inky & scribbly.

Charcoal on paper! This is an abstract visualization of the supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy - which the James Webb Space Telescope had discovered just this past February, is constantly and rapidly ejecting very strong flares! Yes, the same process that happens on our sun, also happens with our very own black hole friend. Much, much more violent and rapid however. What a friendly lil guy! You can see the construction being laid out in the mixture of plasma & strong magnetism.

Enjoy this goofy collage I made. The cobra meowm was inspired by the Egyptian goddess Bastet. She has obsidian ears, eyes & nose made of colliding galaxies caught from JWST, the recent lunar eclipse for a third eye, a cobra body & lightning bolts for whiskers. Her underling or one who admires her, is a snail meowm slithering up mountains of obsidian to observe bastet-like entity more closely.

I’m trying to find some interesting collage art in general that strikes my taste so I can write about it & use it for my project. Unfortunately, I am sifting through insane amounts of AI imagery, which I can’t/won’t use.
