Putting together the leveling/EA guide and it's basically me saying "omg relax guys just vibe" 50 different ways lol

lol yours is a "no notes," standard-setting addon so I don't see myself recommending an alternative.

I think in the near future when I do these features is to do an informed disclaimer, buyer beware or whatever.
I'm not confident I can do reliable due-diligence.

The whole vibe-coding thing is why I haven't done any addon videos lately, as I try to focus on new/up and coming stuff.
Torn cause I want to spotlight creators who want to provide niche solutions but I don't have the knowledge to identify this stuff beyond a smell test

In The State of WoW, our overview panel, you will be hearing from @soulsobreezy.bsky.social, Nixxiom, and @jlucas.bsky.social, from the Starting Zone. How do we feel now at the end of the War Within, and what changes do we want in Midnight?

Just think it'd be both cool and weird. Best case is woo devs get directly appreciated. Worst case is they pump ai slop to hit numbers or get lazy with non shop content

On that particular topic, I'd be very mixed if devs were directly motivated with a profit share. It'd give if nothing else, an even worse perception of devs/artists putting more effort into shop content than non shop content, or bury us in purchases all for personal gain.

Aha, yeah I must've misinterpreted at the time. I was only thinking that the denominations wouldn't feel bad (uneven) but didn't see it as they'd allow the exact purchase of HS every time.
I fail to see how HS is something they "never had to do" though, as if its distribution is limited to purchases

From their initial announcements it feels as if they did listen, otherwise we wouldn't be seeing the $1 denominations that allow for exact purchases. Low bar, but definitely not a normal practice.
That is until we see purchases in multiples of 25, then we're free to grill em over a $.75 "overcharge"

Ah, but notice the trickery here:
The bundle comes after the HS is purchased. I consider it much more scummy if there was an "optimal" purchase option for HS which would lead to users overbuying.
Not to be dismissive of the broad critique, but they're being very responsive to the biggest concerns.

Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they put a purchase cap on larger items like the upcoming cherry blossom trees.
The way they introduced HS was very kid glove and I can imagine them having conservative limits to test the waters

I'm weirded out, is there basically nothing going on with Midnight Fishing now

Pretty certain in the future we'll see Hearthsteel included with other purchases like expansion upgrades and promotions a la Tender. Maybe even for Midnight post purchase.
Otherwise the current implementation is so...non-threatening?...that yeah why'd they bother with it

Sounds weird, but the possibility of Discord being abandoned would indirectly result in a massive revival of in-game communities and interaction in big parts of the industry

Hard to understate how much I'm in a happy place doing Housing visits Around Azeroth. Definitely some of the best few months of World of Warcraft I've ever had!
