Day 2 Spent most of the day on ant hell shit fuck room Did not beat ant hell shit fuck room I did end up going back to [Greymoor] and I did beat Moorwing after like what felt like an hour of attempts Uhhh so Ruka says ant hell shit fuck room is optional and there are other ways to get into Hunter's March so. Will look into that later. But yeah there's a whole town and foresty lake area behind Moorwing so that's what I'm doing tomorrow I dunno if I'm getting the combat yet but pogos seem to be crucial... and unfortunately the "plague knight throws a bomb from a jump" angle REALLY doesn't work with me... so I've been us-ing the Reaper set to make life easier. The ra-nge seems shorter but the down hit feels better for me. I hope... this doesn't become a crutch. But yeah more tomorrow. I think. In the accompanying art, Hornet says, "Have you ever tried to punch an ant??" As a Skarr Stalker looms behind Hornet with their weapon raised, about to bonk her on the head.

Day 3 So I'm writing this the morning of Day 4 because I passed the fuck out because of covid booster So I got to Widow and. Oh man. So like first. What a FUCKED UP FIGHT. It has the same cadence as something like Grimm. But then. They fake you out and tell you to do a mini NKG... you know what maybe ALL of an NKG when I think about it because that fight felt LONG but I was also playing it super safe. Uhh that fight is. So so so important to do?? Because not only does it have the vibe of "yeah motherfucker this is Silksong now" but THE LORE THAT OPENS UP AFTER BEATING HER In the accompanying art, Widow screams at Hornet as Hornet just kinda freezes in place.

Lore things that are worth mentioning about the jail (which I do not remember the name of whoops), it's got reverse Burning Rock from AtLA where it's apparently next to a place called Mount Fey. It's very cold and being out there for too long without heat will kill you. So... good place for a jail. I didn't venture out too far and I took the Bellway out. I did peek my head into puppy dog roach place, apparently it's called Sinner's... something. I forgot again I didn't get far, but there's a lot of flying enemies, a guy in a jail who wants to stay there (his name is The Green Prince?) And there's green piss water with maggots that seem to DRASTICALLY slow down Silk recovery. I was about to try pick at The Wormways but when I went to sit at the bench, a big skull stompy boy that I had to defeat for a side quest appeared and I just had to fight it in Bone Bottom???? And for a bit yeah the bench wasn't avaliable. Flick (is that his name...? Or is that A Bug's Life...) had to fix it and then I had to come back. A guy died. They held a funeral for him. No one knew his name. They threw his body into the pit. I finally beat ant hell fuck room, only to run into another ant hell fuck room... but also another chapel- The Chapel of The Beast and......the Savage Beastfly that apparently everyone is having trouble with. In the accompanying art, Hornet has a bunch of Muckmaggots stuck to her and she tries to shake them off.

Real talk the DLC is pretty good

Like as someone who didn't really click with the main story

The DLC adds in some details that make it more compelling and gameplay wise, it freshens up the loop quite a bit
