Why am I afraid of losing a parent/mom when she is the farthest thing from one? I sometimes wonder if my empathy is a blessing or curse cause I FEEEL to much

Cause like what do you mean I feel compassion for the woman who tried to drive off the right side of the road with me in the car in hopes of killing us both. The same woman who suicide baited me, SHing herself and blaming me as a kid ,I somehow feel compassion for?!?

Is it strange to morn and grief over a parent who was abusive and neglectful? My mom treated me and my dad awfully yet now that she's signing up for M.A.I.D I just find myself constantly looking back at the times when she was A MOM and not an addict but I feel so torn in between.

Not only that but now when applying for jobs Im met with AI with it that doesnt let you apply even if they're not hiring atm, whixh really sucks when management tells you they want you on the team! This problem has costed me potential jobs its infuriating!
