Sorry to be clear I did not argue for the 'end of nicotine use', as you put it. I argued that vapes are for smoking cessation not a new generation of addicts for big tobacco and had a conversation about how that line is drawn going forward.

We know that our chalk streams are facing a raft of existential threats at the moment. In the first seven weeks of 2026, sewage has been flowing into the Rivers Itchen, Hamble and Meon for nearly 2,000 hours combined.

This is unacceptable. We need tighter regulation on water companies now.
