I would say they are friendly to mere mortals as they tend to eat sinful spirits that float around the realms at night - although rumours spread their kindness is manipulated and a false facade. No one can tell their true intentions since they have no face to truly express!

Such an amazing find! Would be a crazy reference for a creature design - perhaps a beast that mutates slowly over time by the fungus 👀

Aztec inspired lizard / dragon creature - believed to made out of clay and a lost spirit! They have a belly mouth for eating as their ‘face’ is a clay mask that can’t open or close. Fan inspired tail!
