Am I somehow off base for being pissed about this?

Why the fuck is it so hard to get anything done about this?

In fact, I hadn’t seen any action taken until I’d submitted a complaint through Metra proper. They put up some new no smoking signs, which the guy walked ten feet from and proceeded to light up.

Still no enforcement while we walk through secondhand smoke from this single asshole every day.

They have functioning text services, and the person who introduced himself as an officer who called me last week sounded quite reassuring, but despite telling them exactly when and where they can catch this guy red-handed, I have yet to see a single Metra PD officer.

For the past few months this lone asshole has been lighting cigarettes in the underground tunnel leading to the parking lots at my train station.

I’ve called him out, but he says he’s allowed to despite Metra’s website disagreeing.

I asked Metra PD for help last week, but am not sure they exist
