Assassin's Creed Unity is getting a 60fps patch on PS5 and Xbox tomorrow. I've long said that (once it was fixed), this is one of the best entries in the entire franchise. Go back to it - you'll see a vision of where the series could have gone. Absolutely pumped to play it again.

Definitely! Very much feels like a good game that didn't *quite* get to greatness, but could with more refinement in what they do next.

Catching up on a few RTS games that I missed, and spent some time with Age of Darkness. A little janky, but a very cool survival-focused RTS. Has a okay campaign, but the survival mode is incredibly satisfying. Almost like a Horde mode spliced into an RTS. store.steampowered.com/app/1426450/...

Makes me wonder how long the fed can lie through their teeth about job growth and markets before things really hit a breaking point. Cost of living, groceries, insurance, everything going through the roof. Jobs dwindling. AI and private equity ravaging entire industries. At what point does it break

But I've talked to others who have been laid off in the last couple of years, and people can't find jobs - period. In their field, outside of their field, retail, restaurants, whave have you. The job market EVERYWHERE is abysmal. Unbelievably so.

It goes without saying that we need reporting and journalism in ever industry, games included. But there's so little support to do the real work, I don't even know what the answer is. I love a lot of the independent sites out there, but man, things feel dire.

I've genuinely lost count of the media layoffs since my own just a month and a half ago. Probably the worst I've ever seen this job market in my entire life. Dozens upon dozens of freelancers, staff writers stretched to the brink, and more and more independent sites struggling to scrape by.

Man fuck this. Enough of hanging games and entire studios out to dry when they don’t insanely make a quadrillion dollars

We fucked up and killed all the puppet figurheads we wanted to instill to lead this country really is all-time incompetence. Just a new level of you can't even do your fucked up plan right.
