I’m into repairing what I have. This sleeper sofa is a 1980s Ethan Allen hand-me down from my ex-MIL. It used to be a very fussy 3-cushion. This is my modernization of it. New slipcover, down seat layer, and cushions. I am finally going to hem it in a few minutes.

I love this old rattan chair from the 1940s but it’s cracking on the seat. I devised a seat bottom to distribute weight to frame: plywood, pipe foam around the edge, high density foam cushion, batting and muslin. Then a white cotton canvas cushion cover which matches the sofa. Try #2 will 💯 work!

I teared up reading this and thinking of that episode. I'm honestly blown away by how great this series is. Glad they found their feet quickly.

I got mine very in my 50s (although I may had had it, just not diagnosed. It is absolutely the worst. Mostly because you are treated like you're crazy, then end up with a huge medical bill. Then you find out there's no real treatment bc 80% of the people who get it are women, mostly Black women.

I have insulated myself from political violence by never remaining friends once I've found out that a person is Republican, evangelical, racist, sexist, misogynist, home/transphobic, or whatever other shit you have that is opposed to my core values. It's the same when I got off meta platforms/X.
