Very sad. Hyperion and Summer of Nights are two of my favorite books.

Brian Eno. Who else created an entire genre of music?

Anybody know a good poetry editor? I’m looking for help editing a full length collection… well three of them. Don’t need a lot of feedback but more so ordering poems and cohesion.

Let me know!

"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adultsβ€”Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebeβ€”living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.

Im a fan of Magic Mountain but Death in Venice was too dark and disturbing for me. Someday I’ll get around Dr Faustus and Joseph and His Brothers.

Wrestling with choosing between two partially developed projects today and finally just asked: assuming neither will be published, which would you have more fun writing?
Problem solved. High fantasy it is!

I have detailed outlines with index card notes paperclipped to them!

Outlining is one of my favorite parts of writing, you can make endless changes without having to do revisions (yet)

β€˜Forced’ trauma backstories, especially around suicide, sexual abuse, and religious fundamentalism. They can all work, but rarely seem to.

Nolan’s first Batman film did an OK job, as best I recall (but then, I’m a Ra’s al Ghul fan) . I’m no fan of Ender’s Game, but don’t remember being turned off by the training section. For fantasy, Wizard of Earthsea & Riddlemaster of Hed come to mind. Might not be the length as much as the content?

I just set aside a scifi book because the training arc hadn’t finished and I was on page 130. Sooo, my advice is keep it short!

I am a first draft by hand writer. I think (create) better that way. That ensures that when I type, it’s already a second draft!

Fantasy short (part of my Atlantis preoccupation) done and ready to submit, the latest Stranger story ready for a final edit (2nd to be published soon, watch this space!), and I need to sit down and start the vampire short. No rest for the retired!
