30.09.2025 07:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0πͺGuarantees are essential to scaling clean technologies across Europe. In a highly constrained public budget environment, they are some of the most budgetarily efficient instruments for leveraging private capital.
30.09.2025 07:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0πΆ@eib.org already approved β¬250 million worth of counter-guarantees with its new CleantechEU Guarantee Scheme. This is a great test of public funding for cleantech, and we're confident that it will be oversubscribed soon, to be expanded with additional funds from Invest EU top-up.
30.09.2025 07:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0βοΈThe agreement frees up an additional β¬2.9 billion budgetary guarantee from the EU budget, which the @eib.org hopefully can deploy rapidly to further support cleantech projects. Forecasts are that it could mobilize an additional β¬50-60 billion of private funding.
30.09.2025 07:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0πThis is a great example of a hopefully new mindset in the EU: practically finding unspent funding in the current budget and redeploying it in instruments that have the biggest impact on leveraging private capital.
30.09.2025 07:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0πAdditional β¬2.9 billion EU budget guarantee unlockedπ
Last week, representatives of the @europarl.europa.eu, the @ec.europa.eu and the @consilium.europa.eu reached a trilogue agreement on InvestEU top-up. π§΅

Not to lead would mean giving up our dual climate and industrial leadership, and losing the resources to sustain our social contract. In this make or break moment, our Summit gathers the highest levels of policy and cleantech representatives to chart a common path to leadership.
12.09.2025 09:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Beyond the ambitious investments announced by President @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu in her State of the Union speech, leading requires us to re-invent ourselves, act decisively and turn our bureaucratic institutions into nimble supporters of an industrial renaissance.
12.09.2025 09:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0One year into a new political mandate, Europe stands at a crossroads: are we moving towards what Mario Draghi called a βslow agonyβ, or will we seize the once-in-a-generation opportunity to become a clean industrial leader?
