this is the angle I'm exploring for my first ArtsWatch story. The NEA forcibly inserted the executive order language into their guidelines, yet none of their public communications address it. everyone is only talking about the other one (about DEI). if you can't stand on it, why is it in there???

It truly was an honor to spend yesterday with the community of Cheshire Academy. They selected “Toward Antarctica” for their all school read.

Reading something together, using it as a way to engage commonalities and differences behind responses, is really important work these days.

I think maybe I’ll just post pretty pictures here. And writing news announcements. And good words by others I’ve been lucky to spend time with. Xoxox

Sunset last night sitting in the shelter just beyond the howling winds I’d ducked away from. Metaphor? (Also: lucky to have the gift of this light, the ability to sometimes duck away.)

I was never much on Twitter, but shit is going down at a terrifying space and Meta is fanning the flames and I think we will all need community. Could this space be ok? I love knowing what friends, poets, activists, scientists, real good humans are doing.
