I'd be more open to some of the criticisms I've seen against Silksong if they didn't feel disingenuous. Flying enemies, boss design, platforming, arenas, etc... it's all present in the first game, I promise you. It's just harder here. It's fine if that's not your thing

Ugh I've been looking forward to Arachne's arc too because it feels like something they can't just try to write around and now I'm just bracing myself

I still haven't beaten the whole thing but like, really started to feel the shaky premise of "people fight you just because and it doesn't really matter because the stakes are superficial" hit home with Eris' whole arc and it's just gotten worse from there

Really glad I'm not the only one who feels like the doubling down of the weird sidestepping of conflict from Hades 1 feels even worse here. It's been so frustrating on a mechanical and writing level to see how noncommital everything is. The more I sit with it the more dissatisfied I become
