being a megaten fan whose favorite megaten stuff is all of the extremely goofy shit is a struggle because you have people out there who know all the deep lore about a character or the universe, or make really cool art or something and i'm just over here like 'i love jack bros 🤓'

sometimes i think it'd be nice to make a discord server or something for shin megami tensei artists, but i don't think i'd have the time to properly run one + i'm also really shy and super socially awkward so i don't think i'd be the right person to be in charge of something like that 😭

3d in games is an incredible feat and it's allowed games to expand in all kinds of amazing ways, but sometimes i feel like the ability 2d art has to exaggerate and stylize things gets lost in translation, which makes me really sad, because it adds a lot of charm and unique stylization that i love.

even in the older artwork for the different demons, you can kinda see it too. i've always been really fond of agathion's really exaggerated :\ face and all of the goofy little jack frosts in king frost's art who seem to be having a great time in that giant pile of snow
