This is worrisome I work on teaching our tribe's 3 languages. Biden admin made a commitment w/ grants thru BIA for Native language revitalization. Since our languages are very Not English, & rely on grants, our teaching programs may be in danger.

Spanish borrowed many Native words that later made it to English. Taysha (Caddo)>Tejas>Texas. shiituumatɬ (Nahuatl)>tomate>tomato, etc etc
