Sunflower Bean and Jadu Heart were the standouts for me.

Been a bit too busy this week to post each day but have listened to the following:

Really loved Ditz and Thank and enjoyed the rest.

2/3/25 Panic Shack. Quite punky. Great vocals and lyrics. Really enjoyable.

1/3/25 -Talk Show. Some more dark and dingy Post Punk. I love it.

28/2/25 The Zaffiros. Okayish reminds me of Nothing but thieves.

27/2/25 Yannis and the Yaw. Yannis from Foals incredible drums mixed with the late great Tony Allen’s signature drumming. It fits together perfectly.

26/2/25 - The XX. I never really really listened to them when they released their huge debut. Wish I had though. A beautiful relaxing sound that just makes you feel safe. Love it.

25/2/25 - Wunderhorse. Heard great stuff about this band but failed to live up to the hype for me.

24/2/25 - Viagra Boys. Completely different sound to yesterday’s band but I flipping loved it. Like a punkier version of Getdown services.

23/2/25 -Unknown Mortal Orchestra. WOW!! Absolutely loving this. Mixes so many genres to make one gorgeous sound that really eases a wet and cold Sunday afternoon.

22/2/25 - Tamar Appel. Not too bad. Giving off a Nadine Shah sort of vibe. Great vocals.

21/2/25 - Snapped Ankles. With a name like that I was expecting some hardcore punk. That is not what I got. Not sure how to describe it but I didn’t enjoy it.

20/2/25 - Role model. Not for me thanks. I’m not too keen on this type of singer songwriter

19/2/25. - Quicksand. Old school post hardcore band. Fucking love it.

18/2/25. - Preoccupations. Great post punk again. Really enjoyed it.

17/2/25 - One step closer. No not a Linkin Park tribute band but a hardcore lite band that don’t sound too bad.

16/2/25 - Naut. Dark Gothy rock gave me some Sisters of Mercy vibes.

15/2/25 - Microwave. Started off okay but the more I listened it started to sound like the generic American pop punk that I really can’t stand.

14/2/25 - Legss. Fantastic post punk. Some interesting sounds on this.

13/2/25 Knocked Loose. Brutal and heavy hardcore. Late teens me would have proper loved this but I couldn’t get into it.

12/2/25 Jasmine 4.T I absolutely loved her track Elephant but I couldn’t really get into any of her other tracks which is a shame.

11/2/25 - Inhaler. I heard lots of good things about this band. Just seemed very “meh” to me. I just couldn’t get into them.

10/2/25 Hani Hooper. Atmospheric, eerie and very discombobulating. I’m not entirely sure if it’s genius or just noise.

9/2/25 Green Star Only two tracks available but liked what I heard.

8/2/25 Fugazi. Having loved Post hardcore since my teens I’m not sure how I have never listened to them before. Amazing stuff.
