I see all of the updates to Splatoon and a new spin off game and all I can think is please don't let this be what the Animal Crossing dev team has been working on all this time since Splatoon 3 updates ended last summer 😭

I opened my island for about 5 minutes yesterday and the difference in performance from Switch 1 to Switch 2 is really noticeable. Load times are faster, character movement is more fluid, the saves seem a bit quicker and the game is a lot brighter on the Switch 2. Would recommend.

To be confident that you are definitely transferring everything in one go. Turn on Island Backups on your Nintendo Switch BEFORE you move anything across! This adds extra protection in case something goes wrong.

Keep both consoles plugged in during the transfer!!

Both consoles need to be plugged in, charging and on throughout the process and they need to be next to each other. Docked is completely fine from what I can tell.

My forever Animal Crossing island has been successfully transferred to Switch 2 with no issues. Here's some notes for everyone who needs it:
- You DON'T NEED to use the Island Transfer Tool if you are moving your whole library of games
- You NEED to press "keep existing data" when asked

Waiting for all my games to transfer to Switch 2 and it’s taking its sweet time to just download Animal Crossing New Horizons. I’m so excited to play on a new console as soon as it’s done!

Nothing frustrates me more in Animal Crossing than villagers wearing outfits I don’t want and when I ask Isabelle to get them to remove the outfits, the villagers continue to wear them. Please let me remove the awful sunglasses or outfit someone else kindly gifted them!

Uh oh….new Animal Crossing LEGO means I have to find space for it. Erm…I think I need a new shelf haha

Guess Nintendo saved me a bunch of money then. No cosy games on Switch 2 at launch is really disappointing and no upgrade path for ACNH is just sad.

Random thought of the day. Sometimes I browse these apps for Animal Crossing inspo and dream addresses and get discouraged when I only see going live with ACNH notifications. Do you ever click on those stream notifications and if you do have you ever found anyone amazing from those?
