A couple of years back, the lab got 4 new DxH’s, and they were named after the 4 Hobbits. I decided to illustrate some signs. Now, they have some new instrumentation, & I got to illustrate Gollum! If you or your lab wants illustrated name signs, feel free to reach out, I am open for commissions!

New stickers and sticky notes going live next Fri, 9/12, 3pm EST! I’m working on expanding the scope of stickers & sticky notes in the shop to include more healthcare, science, math, & tech. If there’s a particular area or idea that you think needs a sticky note or some snarky sticker, let me know!

Don’t know who needs to hear it today, but reminder!! You *actually* have to troubleshoot your QC issues, not just try it for a third, fourth, fifth, sixth time without doing anything else and expect passing results. And don’t forget to document what you did!! It makes QC review much easier!

Shoutout to Levi for this sticker idea!! What’s the craziest looking cell you’ve ever seen? Or even crystals? I’ve seen some very non-textbook crystals in the wild.

Hello! I’m back, and will be slowly posting at least once a week. The shop is back open and I’ll go over some shop details later on - the main thing is the shop is open, and Post-it brand sticky notes are now live!

Sorry for lack of content! I’ve been using this month to try and figure the plan for the shop, and to move things around (physically and digitally). I’ll be back in June with new content and stickers! Thank you so much for your patience and understanding ❤️

This is a true story that happened to me on my first ever night shift as a student employee. I learned that not everything is an acronym and that a leg is in fact a leg. And that you need to bend the knee to get it to fit in the robot that goes to path.

After Lab Week, I’ll be taking a couple of weeks off to reassess where Warbler Works Studio, as a shop and a service, is headed. I may need to raise prices due to the rising costs of shipping, packaging, supplies, and tariffs.

That said, I do have new products that have already arrived or are on the way, and I’m planning to release them this summer—so please keep an eye out for those.

And all of this is happening while healthcare, science, research, and even basic rights are being chipped away at on purpose, which just adds another layer of frustration to it all. It’s making it really tough to plan ahead for, well, anything.

On top of that, trying to keep up with all the tariff changes feels like death by a thousand cuts (not the Taylor Swift version). The ever-changing tariffs are going to impact at least some part of every supply chain, and small shops like mine are feeling it.

Things aren’t looking too great right now, to be honest. AI is being trained on stolen artwork—from legendary artists like Hayao Miyazaki to amazing indie creators like jdebbiel—and it’s hard not to feel discouraged watching that happen.
