I think a lot of people were already personally done with fighting games or The FGC but have been wanting a justification for it, even though it's normal to move on. A few weeks ago it was "2XKO bombed and Tokon looks boring, fighting games aren't for me anymore", now it's "EVO will kill the FGC".
