After finishing Metal Gear Delta, it's kinda incredible how the entire game has none of the aura of the original despite being almost the same game

every time game difficulty/quality of life discourse happens it always feels like damn so many people want their games to be more boring

I put like 40 hours into that game and I'm still here like "I wish I had more Silksong to play"

Telling myself I shouldn't do any of the Speedrun achievments for Silksong or play through the permadeath mode because I have other shit I need to do

The Crow (PS1) is a 1-star game that feels like a 5-star game. It plays like ass and feels like a bizarre awful beat-em-up made by aliens but its got some spirit to it. and cheat codes like this

I think there's something to be said about a game being made with a very specific vision, even if it's going to drive a lot of people away. Silksong is a mean game, with maybe some weird balancing decisions, but it just feels so satisfying to play for me

It's so weird to get lost in a game, really enjoying your time with it, and coming online to see the reaction being a lot more mixed on it

I think that's a good way to put it. A lot of the difficulty is centered around Hornet's skills and weaknesses, and you really need to be in tune with that to succeed in the game
