Something that you may not know about me, is that I review for Amazon. I'm not quite sure how this came about - possibly through leaving book reviews on Amazon and lots of you lovely people saying that the review was useful? Who knows! One afternoon, I received an email, inviting me to join the Amazon Vine review programme.

Engaging Dyslexia-Friendly Reads for Teens There's a big difference between being able to read, and reading for pleasure. As a teacher of English, I don't just want my students to have the ability to read the words in front of them, but to get engrossed in a story, to care about the characters, to be able to see the world from a different perspective... all the things that I want to do myself when I read.

It's the summer break, but I'm adding more dyslexa-friendly titles to our school library. Here are three new titles for teenage readers.

I loved reading this to both my kids. My youngest is 14 and I think I can still recite the whole thing!

It's great if you enjoy literary fiction - within that genre it ticked so many boxes for me. I was surprised at its tiktok popularity though - it's hardly a page-turner!

Had a spare hour to read this morning.
Spent the first half choosing my next title from the Goodreads challenge list, then the second half trying to figure out how to download it from Amazon to my kindle. Damn you, Bezos!

More tongue-in-cheek than your average mystery novel. Unlikeable characters, massively flawed protagonists, lots of hashtags. Quite a fun read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
