British-Canadian π¬π§ π¨π¦ and still European πͺπΊ. Love film, art, design, theatre, the finest cheese, and now knitting! π§Ά Note, Iβm not LH the writer βοΈ and I do not post interesting stuff, or at least I try not to.

29.09.2025 13:08 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If Farage gets in I can see it becoming an annexation of the US and the pretty historic towns and villages which wealthy Americans love so much will increasingly become gated communities for billionaire immigrants to live out their Downtown Abbey, Bridgeton, Pride & Prejudice, Princess fantasies.
18.09.2025 15:04 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What a fantastic #TIFF25 with oodles of outstanding films. Managed to catch 13 of them: #TheChoral, #TheChristophers, #WinteroftheCrow, #TheFence, #TwoPianos, #SheHasNoName, #Glenrothan, #SentimentalValue, #PeakEverything, #WizardoftheKremlin, #CoverUp and #Captive www.tiff.net/films

06.09.2025 16:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Even though I saw it live I canβt believe it really happened and they went through with it, with posters stuck on the wall behind him. It was complete lunacy.
01.09.2025 03:05 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes. Utter nonsense page filler.
17.08.2025 11:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh this explains why some people use words that sound similar interchangeably even though they have completely different meanings. I sometimes realise what word they actually meant to say but it also explains why people often canβt answer a simple question.
31.07.2025 19:57 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Maybe youβre right. Shame the greens donβt get the backing and coverage they deserve. The media is intent on platforming Farage, even at a time when he had no MPs.
24.07.2025 15:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Was thinking the same. If you wanted to help Reform win youβd find someone to fund another left-leaning party to split the votes. The majority of the media is still backing Farage even after Brexit, even when he had no MPs, even when he just had one MP.
24.07.2025 11:50 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 3 π 0Equally thereβs no such thing as βchild pornβ. Theyβre child abuse images.
21.07.2025 12:35 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0π In England the first Lisa Hardings to come up were a singer and psychotherapist. Here in Canada a Kinesiologist comes up. I think this idea has legs. π¦΅
19.07.2025 11:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1Oops π¬ you tagged me but sheβs a different βLisa Hardingβ. There are a lot of us about. Sounds interesting though, we all seem to do interesting stuff - maybe we should have a βLisa Hardingβ summit! π
Have a great day!!
Itβs weird how some people behave when theyβre on two wheels. Itβs as if they think being bigger and faster than people on legs gives them right of way.
14.07.2025 12:09 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0They think itβs your own fault if you donβt jump out of their way when they ring the bell. Notice that she pinged the bell when she saw the woman rather than slowing and stopping. They all do it.
14.07.2025 01:43 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yep, v. dangerous. I was hit by a cyclist running a red light at a pedestrian crossing. I fell and hit my head on the road. They fell off their bike but they (unlike me) were protected by a helmet. Even getting hit at slow speed is painful. I now really fear being hit by an electric scooter/bike.
14.07.2025 01:39 β π 15 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Interestingly, Dumas (the father) was contemporary of another fascinating character, Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. Maybe youβve heard of Chevalier (the movie, 2022). The story just keeps evolving. Enjoy!!
09.07.2025 12:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The book is about the life and career of his father (a soldier and officer during the French Revolution) and it describes how he became the inspiration for Dumasβ novels, including The Count of Monte Cristo (1844) and The Three Musketeers (1844).
09.07.2025 11:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I absolutely loved this book. I was so inspired to learn about the author that I read βThe Black Count: Glory, Revolution, Betrayal, and the Real Count of Monte Cristoβ. Itβs incredible, itβs about General Thomas-Alexandre Dumas (the father of Alexandre Dumas the author) written by Tom Reiss.

04.07.2025 18:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm not even from the US and it blew me away. To walk in the footsteps of some of those many European immigrants who literally built modern America provoked so many questions. I wondered how they decided who would be dispatched where. Fascinating. π½
04.07.2025 18:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Have you visited the museum at Ellis Island? Itβs fascinating. You can search the records for your ancestors who landed here. It must have been overwhelming to have travelled so far and to have been met by big, beautiful Liberty herself.
04.07.2025 17:34 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I actually take some comfort in a politician who shows genuine emotion. For one maybe thereβs a higher chance theyβre not a psychopath.
03.07.2025 12:48 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It would be interesting to know if anyone at Vogue admits to working on this.
28.06.2025 11:20 β π 11 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0The cover looks like it belongs to Brides magazine or Cheshire Life. No discredit to the individual but this is a flamboyant ready-to-wear looking dress photographed in a conventional, wedding album style.
