1. violent silhouettes. - Into the Gray

The crown goes to a band I got to discover this year. Their debut EP is magnificent. This song in particular is a great mixed bag. The riffs are probably the best of this year. The vocal range and the choruses are perfect. Blown away by this

2. While She Sleeps - To The Flowers

Unmatched guitar work. The official video brings out so many emotions, the general song is perfectly structured. The solos, the licks, the chorus. Absolutely perfect. They really delivered a different type of heavy with this one

3. Billie Eilish - WILDFLOWER

The first 3 chords of this song is played and I'm brought to tears. Devastating ballad with a great great chord progression. Billie's vocal deliver sadness in a way that is so unique and cool.

4. BMTH - liMOusIne ft. AURORA

The starting riff might be very close to Moodring's SYNC.wav - i even called the band out on it - but I still enjoy this immensely. The chorus is very good and the overall vibe is something that resonates with me heavily

5. Charli XCX & Lorde - girl, so confusing remix

Lorde's vulnerability and the production on this track makes it so special for me. I absolutely adore this track. My most listened track of the year.

6. Inertia - Leviathan ft. Jacob Charlton

Huuuuge chorus. The riffage is immaculate. Jacob's cleans aee fucking great. I even wish the little "you're so cruel" was prevalent in more of the choruses. Superb songwriting

This is the 2nd entry from Imminence on this list. This 6 min piece is so varied. Violin work is absolutely insane. The progression is awesome and it all comes together so good. Love it

9. Halsey - Lonely is the Muse

When I started listening to this song, I didn't expect screams. Especially from Halsey. That outro is full of emotion and superb. Her Amazon performance solidified for me how good this song is

10. The Plot in You

With all that talk about Landon Tewers, it'd be a shame not to involve this banger. This is as angry as he can get and I love every second of it.

11. BMTH - DIg It

The closer to BMTH's 2024 record is amazing. The sadness is there. It just keeps building up and you get to anger by the end of it. The production is so fun, the progression is great. Stunning

12. The Danger of Falling - I Watched You Disappear

I'm sad that this band has basically no exposure. This track is so emotionally fueled. The chord progression is very nice. Just a full on banger

13. Acres - A Different Shade of Misery

The first Landon produced track fro Acres is so versatile. Both the screams and the cleans sounded so much better on this one and the breakdown amps up the energy. Great track.

14. SAVE US - Exist

This fairly new band manages to amaze me with every record. This self-titled track from their most current EP is excellent. The electronic bridge into more screaming and ferocity beings out a great experience. Check them out!

15. Billie Eilish - BLUE

The 2nd part of this song is ON CRACK. Stunning structuring from Billie and FINNEAS. The musicianship is excellent.

16. Acres - Deadweight

I love how these guys write music. Landon Tewers appended them to a new level. Huge chorus, great riffing. Love this track

17. James Blake - Like The End

One of the best James Blake tracks BY FAR. Almost feels like a guitar ballad. The performance at the Real World Studios actually makes it a ballad and aı have more respect for the song because of that. Incredible song

18. Profiler - Consumed

I always said this and I'm gonna keep saying it. Profiler should be a shoegaze/heavygaze band. This track highlights their best qualities. Vocals are ethereal and the chorus is huge.

19. Tyler, The Creator - Thought I Was Dead ft. Schoolboy Q & Santigold

The chorus is so infectious. Again, Tyler's understanding of music theory and music overall is on another level. Schoolboy Q's addition to this track is great. Overall awesome track
