This is a good intro but the popular notion that diatomics can’t be good greenhouse gases applies to a molecule in isolation, not at high enough pressures where collisions can absorb radiation and excite into higher rotation states. H2 is the most important greenhouse gas in the whole Universe.

This is the fishiest shit I've ever seen. We're supposed to believe the shooter wrote "Anti-ICE" in pen on a bullet and then shot detainees but not ICE officers?

12/ this isn’t to say climate science doesn’t get things wrong. That is often a feature of cutting edge research, and the same happens in every other field. But there’s no systematic problem and the things that are elevated to consensus/high confidence territory just don’t have a bad track record.

11/ the appeal to talking points was very clear in the now-disbanded DOE group, who work backwards to create doubt by throwing mud all over the place, but ultimately get very little correct and explain/predict nothing of substance to shake the foundations of modern climate dynamics.

10/ the basic aspects of what sets planetary temperature is now on extremely sturdy ground, and no wishful thinking or out-of-touch quotes by a random person saying Manhattan should have been underwater is going to change that. But Trump has no interest in the best science, just talking points.

9/ these represent real physical science predictions, unlike the often-quoted one liners and vague, unpublished stuff from activist types, like “we’re all doomed in 10 years.” It’s bad communication but rather beside the point. The climate community has done a trendline job.

8/ In contrast to Trump’s claim, there never was any serious concern of “global cooling” this century (even if some papers discussed this, but many decades later than he said due to aerosol emissions climbing before the warming signal was firmly established).

7/ these predictions eventually cut into other territories, including intense extreme rainfall, loss of Arctic sea ice, poleward shift of the storm tracks, shift in altitude of high cloud tops coinciding with where radiative cooling is efficient, sea level rise, etc.
