We will be partnering with Isabel Lu @iisabellu to create a participatory art mural that will live on in the Trans Celebration Garden right here in Durham on the main Radical Healing campus

Please join us on June 15, 2025 from 2-6PM to continue to push back against narratives that fuel anti-trans legislation across the country and around the world.

To acknowledge the campaign for the ongoing fight for trans rights in Durham and beyond, we are partnering with over 60+ artists, crafty friends, organizations and musicians to launch a call to action, generative resource fair, and concert focused on centering trans women.

Such laws promote divisions within the trans community, risk the safety of all trans people, and open the doors to broader state repression. All oppression is connected. If trans women are not safe, none of us are safe.

The trans-exclusionary attack in sports has now expanded to healthcare access, military service, and many areas of civil rights.

Specifically, Stand Up for Trans Women at Duke has continuously called on Duke University and Professor Doriane Lambelet Coleman to take a firm and public stance against powerful political actors using Professor Coleman’s work to support legislation aimed at erasing the rights of trans athletes.

Stand Up for Trans Women at Duke has been working hard to defend the rights of trans women at Duke, in North Carolina, and in all communities.

This PRIDE MONTH, join us on the Radical Healing campus for the ReSISTERS: A Festival Centering Trans Women! Brought to you with love and solidarity by Stand Up for Trans Women at Duke, Radical Healing, LGBTQ Center of Durham, and Pauli Murray Center.

We’re excited to announce that we’re now in-network with Medicaid starting with the United Community Plan and very soon with Wellcare, Medicaid Healthy Blue (starting 3/1), and Amerihealth for our medical services including Primary Care and Psychiatric Medication Management!

We are now finally in network with our first Medicaid plan (United Community Plan!) at a time when the current administration threatens serious consequences for the care we provide. We love our community and are thinking of creative ways queer, trans and BIPOC ppl always have to keep us safe.
