Really enjoyed developing this choreo and playing with adding layers. Definitely going to practice this sequence again.
I like the shapes at the end. Those happened to accomodate my less than ideal angle to the camera. I want to spend some time exploring in that leg hold.

Definitely my least favorite type of instruction. It's right next to, "just throw your legs up and go" when I express fear or concern for my safety. As a middle aged pole dancer who has no childhood gymnastics background. I do not learn that way!!!

You can see the line in the image. That line is the ideal position to feel stacked/better balanced.
To achieve this I suggest trying: 1. let your hips drop back and feet slide down the pole 2. Look up through your arms at your feet 3. Square your shoulders/engage your shoulder blades

I work in higher education, and I hate these stories because learning doesn't have to be like this. In fact, emotional distress hinders learning. I want to shift the paradigm, so there are much fewer, or none, high stakes tests involved in learning.
