Hmm. I have to see their range now. I had two chestnut tree growing up. Never knew they were rare until long after my parents sold that place. I always wanted to go back and see if it was an actually an american chestnut. I could never walk barefoot in that part of the yard. They were spikey balls.

Cleaned walnuts. Stepped on them to break the flesh apart. Peeled with gloves on. Finished by putting them in water and agitating with a paint mixer. Threw out the floaters and put the rest aside to dry. I had zombie hands from getting juice on my fingers.

Making progress on the camper build. I am testing light weight wall panels. They are one inch (2.54 cm) foam with cotton material glued to all sides. Then painted with exterior paint. They turned out quite sturdy and have a nice texture.
