My entry for #PrintPromptMonday #Indoors is this multi-block/reduction print I did in 2022. Based on a photo, it's Easter Sunday 1970 somewhere in upstate NY, and though recalled with a touch of the vernal equinox, we were in fact indoors (& fun fact that's me second from left).

Really pleased with how the landscape photography feed over at @bluesky.photography is coming along.

Can't cope with the news today but popping in to say that if you add the word fuck to your google search string, you don't get that stupid AI nonsense at the top of your results. Yes there are other ways, but this one pleases me.

Coral lung sculptural tiles attached to a brick wall. The lungs are very highly textured, with many coral patterns. For the most part, they are brightly coloured, but there are areas left white, creeping up from the bottom, spreading, to signify coral bleaching. The art installation highlights our connection with coral reefs and how important they are to us and how our collective behaviour affects them. Stamped onto the windpipe section is a quote from a song by The Hollies. “Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you.”

I sometimes make ceramic street art and created these coral lungs for Look up Portsmouth at Cosham Library. Coral reefs produce roughly 50% of the Earth’s oxygen but are susceptible to coral bleaching (and eventually death) due to rising sea temperatures. We need corals more than we realise!
