Violence, city size and geographical isolation in African cities - Nature Communications In Africa, violence against civilians is more prevalent in small, isolated cities, with this trend rising in recent years.

Our new study challenges assumptions about urban violence in Africa.

Surprising finding: isolated cities face 4x higher violence risk than large, connected cities. Size matters less than connectivity.
