I think that's part of what makes some legislators so uncomfortable with it. People are connecting and organizing in a space that they don't understand and have no control over. It's useful for us but scares them, which is exactly why I'm in favor of it.

I feel like this whole thing illustrates just how much we need people who have at least an average human’s understanding of technology to be making rules about the internet

The republican strategy of creating a problem that wasn't there before just so they can take credit for fixing it is getting less and less subtle

I’m pretty pissed about the TikTok thing. Where are all the kooky folk musicians around this place? We got stuff to do.

A lot of us had pretty good communities there AND got a lot of information on events outside of the US that we weren’t getting from Facebook. The right to communicate freely is part of the rights we’re losing
