I rarely use social media, but this last week has been crazy to watch. Even my friends who don't talk politics are talking about America

Who said anything about a centre? These people visit old people still in their homes.

Do you think we have an issue in Australia?

This is sad

Since the rise of cheap black-market cigarettes, my friends in age care have said the seniors are able to afford fresh fruit and veggies again and their health is dramatically improving

They are to old to stop smoking and have been skipping good food instead.

The Aussie working class has been totally abandoned, as has the 38hr week.

Most of my mates are doing 50+ hrs to survive.

Is anyone going to mention the record migration that's smashing our wages and standards of living?

I have been so disappointed by Labor. But Dutton is a lying joke.

I have no idea who to vote for

I wish they would both rediscover their values and stop trying to be a soft version of each other. Labor has disappointed me the most because I had some higher expectations of them.
I have never seen the Labor party this comfortable with war, but thankfully the LNP isn't in charge who are worse.

I'm not sure why the Trump comparison, Spud has no charisma at all, and a few people seem to like Trump at least. I have never met a real Spud supporter, plenty on the right just say he is not Albo.

Thanks to everyone taking the time to explain / answer questions about how our (excellent) voting system works, especially to new/first-time voters

What are we thinking about the Trump and Zelensky debacle?

I just want these wars to finish and not see anymore people tossed into the meat grinder.

I am shocked people are wanting to keep the war going, its a terrible situation but how long must it continue?

Thoughts?

How are both sides of politics totally useless.

I'll vote for the local Butcher or Teacher before any career politician at this point.

The politicians who have enriched themselves while pretending to serve our nation deserve to be held criminally accountable.

This latest Dutton fiasco is only the tip of the Iceberg IMO.

Audits for every single one of them and their extended families.

Hey lefties, the general workers strike is always a lofty goal, but the conservatives will never go for it on principle.

What about we meet in the middle and all stop paying tax at once

A NATIONAL TAX STRIKE

They couldn't enforce on us all at once and we don't go broke in the meantime

Thoughts?

So frustrating, feels like they have abandoned their roots.

I feel totally homeless in #auspol I support Aussie workers and the 38hr week and not having to do overtime just to survive. I think its shocking Aussies are living in tents and it seems to be getting worse. Dutton is not an option, but this is the worst I've seen Australia. its tough times.

We were never getting submarines, this was just to exist under the USA protection banner.

It will probably be drone warfare before they were due anyway.
