Yup. I have nothing but respect for said 53yo woman; she is amazing. She has already been leading and shaping the church for a while. This quote just continues to show how profoundly boomer-centric our church (and institutions) are, and we must deal soon.

My oldest son is totally with you on this. Can’t fathom what this has to do with gender - and why everyone else only associates them with girls. He would add that said dresses need to twirl well and have something rainbow.

This is the 5th time Al-Ahli Hospital has been bombed since 2023. They were given 20 minutes to evacuate all patients.

Today I find some meaning in remembering that the ‘Hosanna’ we cried on this Palm Sunday means ‘save us’. Save us, indeed. From ourselves. From evil. From this mess we have made.

It was a gorgeous weekend in #yyj so of course we went for a hike and to the beach (a couple times). McKenzie Bight was lovely with beautiful waterfalls, shells and sea creatures galore, and the always beautiful view.

This was my immediate question… served in multiple dioceses and there has never been anything at a chrism mass that resembled 4 square. (TBH, I would be playing if there was.) In my new diocese, we do this at clergy conference in May and I’m not upset about missing a 6 hr round trip day in Holy Week

This is what I’ve been thinking all day. I’ve quoted Sen. Booker in sermons as long as I’ve been ordained (when he was my senator!) because he so often shares the gospel when he speaks. What we saw today isn’t new from him and we need more of it.
