The #SWFC Supporters Trust are organising a GoFundMe to support Wednesday as the admin process continues. The club has to survive on cash during this time, and although things are looking a lot better than a week ago, we're a long way from out of the woods

Pro tip: if you're in Sheffield, Arundel rhymes with trundle: A-RUN-dul gate is how you'd say the name of the road in the card

I met Dickie Bird several times waiting for degree ceremonies to start @sheffieldhallamuni.bsky.social. He attended these as often as he could, saying that to show up was the least he could do after the honour of being awarded honorary degrees. He was good company. A lovely man. R.I.P.

Allan Alberg’s books were adored by my small children and me. This was their favourite, and is loved by my grandchildren now, despite the fact that only I can identify with Janet’s beautiful illustrations personally. What wonderful books. R.I.P.

True, but winning the enrolment game can itself be a problem when it includes recruiting less qualified students who need more help, have less access to staff, are more inclined to leave, and may provide negative feedback on NSS as a resul.

I’ve watched the effects of 3 years of redundancies in the university of a family member. Course closures and combinations ignoring the need for specialists, career academics with prospects ended, staff teams cut by 60% with the work reallocated to those remaining. It’s simply unsustainable.

A New Regulatory Framework for University Cuts

This is a really interesting article

There's some truth that the sector is being killed by cuts. Each one has its own rationale, however robust and valid, but there's no overall assessment of the cumulative impact; and in England at least no-one with a duty to do this

We can’t leave Andrew Tate to educate our working-class boys The need to rethink how we support working-class boys has never been more urgent

For most young men who are eligible for Free School Meals, retaking level 2 Maths and English at college is the next step after dissapointment at GCSE.

It would be wonderful if more colleagues from the Further Education sector could become involved with Boys' Impact
