PoW solves a problem of Nakamoto Consensus’s own making. Sybil vulnerability of probabilistic consensus. It’s an inefficient sybil control and outdated at that. Nakamoto Consensus could be slapped on a chain with Casper FFG and PoS and be more secure w/ a marginally less degree of decentralization.
