Thank you for sharing your perspective. It is a great example of why the topic is so complex - you can’t just say inclusion is the best for everyone.

Special ed students benefit from being integrated at school. It doesn't always happen Research shows including students with and without disabilities in the same classroom can benefit everyone. Two students with Down syndrome show what can be gained when that happens.

This is such a complex topic…but it is so important to so many. There is no easy solution, but it must remain topic of conversation and continuous improvement #disability #inclusion

Reading is treated like an academic exercise, focusing primarily on comprehension and analysis at younger ages, rather than allowing time to connect on the emotional engagement with characters and plots (building lifelong love of reading)
